First post of the New Year

Here she is Miss Denim girl. She has a gingham shirt with ribbon accents and denim pants with white tennis shoes and a blue ribbon in her hair. It only took two years to make her.

Here is the booty that I have purchased during my recent LSS visits to Ink About it and Absolutely Everything. Memory Box/Poppy dies, Mo stamps, Authentique Papers, Basic Grey and lots of ribbon.

It was fun finding such new choices to play with so early this year. So hope you are having fun with your goodies too. Enjoy!

Bye to 2012...

I am ending 2012 with two recently completed projects. This perpetual calendar from Pine Cone (via our LSS Absolutely Everything) using the wonderful Graphic 45 papers was completed at my Sister's over the holidays.

The next is a 1950 style mini album from Farm Goods also from AE for my husband.

Here are a couple pages from inside. I did my own thing with the papers and embellishments. Of course, I added ribbon and pockets.

Well, Happy New Year to all.

Our son Kevin graduated from Wheaton College (MA) on Saturday. His girlfriend Hayley was our perfect hostess, because she graduated from Wheaton last year. Aunt Chrissy and Uncle Nick helped us celebrate the day.

We continued our celebration at Hemingway's in RI with wonderful food and wine. Our waitress Tina was so kind and helpful with our selections. It was a great experience.

Summer Card Camp

OK, It's been a while since my last post. But...I signed up for the Summer Card Camp. Here is my first card using some of the suggested colors and based on the on line video using transparencies.

It needs a little work and it only took 3 hours, but you have to start somewhere.

The stamps and die cut are from Papertrey Ink. The papers are DCWV and Neenah. The gems are K& Co. The pens are Zig and the ink pad is Hero Arts soft pool shadow ink.

Hope you enjoy the card. Have a great, safe 4th of July.

Simple Card

This card was a simple thank you card for work. It is the Lockhart Stamp Hydrangea. Then I layered the flower and popped it. The green pattern paper is Lily Bee Design Picket Fence. Just tied a green silk ribbon and it was complete.

One Stamp-Two cards

I needed just one more tree stamp. Memory Box has this new Tree of Birds stamp. It is great to color with the new Copic colors. And the cork paper is a favorite texture for me.
I admit it was a bit tedious to cut all the birds and leaves out but I love the effect.
So hopefully you can take a favorite stamp and try it two ways.

Papertrey Ink ULTIMATE Card Kit

My very favorite Papertrey project from the last year was this card using my favorite Green Tea Leaves patterned paper and deer and trees from the wonderful guy stamp set Masculine Motifs. I used this for a card exchange with other Papertrey lovers.

Their dies are great. I have a couple like the Banner Borders. and the Beautiful Bloom 2 flower die set.

Three little notes for Dad

Here are three little cards that I created for Dad. He has had a tough winter due to illness, but he is on the road to recovery. My Sis and her family have been great to help him out at the rehab center and lots of visits. If you would like to send him a card, let me know.

Thanks and take care.

Three things...

1. Three things you've learned from the past:
Stop while you are ahead (put the glitter pen down)
My son's cereal is not stupid (even if you are tired, you can't take it back)
Life isn't fair-mom's favorite (a little hard, but it does help)
2. Three things you did yesterday:
Make and sent cards to cheer up Dad
Colored stamped images made with friends
Found some interesting/beautiful craft blogs sites
3. Three things you are looking forward to:
Kevin's pictures and stories from his biology class trip
Crafting with the girls again
Finding "lost" scrap supplies (packed in totes)
4. Three things you love about winter:
It's my birthday, yes-my birthday-soon.
Great time to take photos
Snugging in on a snow day with hot cocoa, an old movie and kitty in my lap
5. Three people I tag to play along:
Kerry
Karen
Jenn

Hope you have fun with this little post

What a Great Weekend!

Here is my promise to finish a project-(or maybe there are a few more touches to her.)

Today was so much fun. We celebrated a good friend's birthday by papercrafting for hours. We stamped, we ate wonderful mac and cheese (and she doesn't even like cheese) and great brownies for dessert.

Saturday started with work, but got better with a little shopping and great weather, clear skies.

Friday was a day at the fair with hubby and a little rain. We walked for hours. Love the baby animals too.

Thinking of others too. Off to bed...hopefully not so long between posts.
